About Me
I am an author and lifelong music enthusiast with a Master’s thesis on the work of Tom Waits. In 2012, I created The Music and Myth as a place to share my passion for this wonderful form of storytelling.
The purpose of this website is to distance itself from music journalism as merely content writing and provide in-depth studies of some of the greatest records I’ve come across throughout the years, documenting my ever-evolving journey through the landscape of adventurous music.
You’ll find album and concert reviews, in-depth interviews with some of the world’s most gifted musicians, like Patricia Barber, Bill Frisell, Al Di Meola and Terri Lyne Carrington as well as personal opinion articles, like The 7 best Tom Waits covers sung by women or The Music and Myth Awards. I tend to focus primarily on jazz and world music but I listen to a wide variety of genres.
