Guitarist, composer and producer Alper Tuzcu has just released his new EP, Migrante, on Palma Records.
The first in a three-part “cosmopolitan project” that pays homage to Latin American culture, Migrante was inspired by Strange Pilgrims, a collection of short stories by Gabriel García-Márquez.
Leading a multinational ensemble of Berklee alumni, the Istanbul-born composer draws from a variety of genres like flamenco, fado, jazz and classical in an attempt to “bridge cultures and cross borders.”
Migrante is out now on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon. Below, you can listen to the first single, “Canção do Pássaro”, featuring Brazilian vocalist Helena Beltrão.
