In anticipation of the upcoming debut album, A Day of Rainbows, UK-based project Vegetarians & Carnivores releases its third single, “Don’t Let the Darkness In.”
With dark, haunting poetry and a somber sound that merges prog rock, jazz and psychedelia, the song deals with themes of anxiety and depression.
Vegetarians & Carnivores is a new collaborative project led by Wood Demons guitarist, singer and writer Simon Carbery (guitar, keyboard, vocals). The new single features Nick Moorbath (keyboards, arrangements, engineering), Stuart Henderson (flugelhorn, trumpet), Jerry Soffe (bass), Ed Kontargyris (drums), Lisa Fitzgibbon and Lily Dior (backing vocals).
Preceded by “Well…” and “Crippled Dreams,” “Don’t Let the Darkness In” is one of at least six new songs to be released throughout 2021.
